The
Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce of
Tampa Bay, Inc. was incorporated as a
Florida non-profit organization on
January 9, 2004. Its main purpose is to
encourage the growth of existing
Filipino-American businesses and foster new
ones, and thus contribute to a strong local,
regional, and national economy. On March 4,
2004 the Internal Revenue Service recognized
the Chamber as a Section 501©(6)
organization exempt from income taxes under
Section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Chamber is governed by the Board of
Directors, which is composed of its officers
and directors. The Chamber members elect the
officers and directors of the Chamber.
Any
individual, business or organization,
whether or not Filipino-Americans, are
eligible for membership in the Chamber;
however, only Filipino-Americans can be
elected as officer or board member of the
Chamber.
The
Officers and Board of Directors meet every
second Wednesday of the month at a Chamber member's place of business or at
the Bayanihan Arts Center as may be agreed
upon from time to time. The meetings of the
members of the Chamber are held every third
Wednesday of the month.
Our
Chamber calendar contains all of the events
that we will have and will be updated weekly
to reflect new changes and updates.
