Gary
Schaaf is an experienced Commercial Litigation
attorney and shareholder in the Largo office of the
statewide
law firm of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A..
A graduate of Temple University (B.B.A. 1983)
and Temple University School
of Law (J.D., cum
laude, 1986), Mr. Schaaf is a member of the Florida,
New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bars and is
Certified
Circuit and Federal Court Mediator. Mr. Schaaf is

is its
highest professional rating based on his years of
experience and endorsement by his colleagues in the
areas
of professional conduct, ethics and ability.
Mr. Schaaf has extensive experience in
complex commercial litigation, including contract
litigation, probate and
trust litigation, land use
litigation, mortgage foreclosure litigation, real
property disputes, injunction actions,
personal
injury litigation, professional malpractice and
negligence claims, bankruptcy, franchisor/franchisee
litigation,
banking litigation and regulatory
matters, contract and lease drafting, and general
corporate and business
representation for several
long term clients.
He has significant trial experience in the
State and Federal courts as
well as appellate practice experience before the Second District Court
of Appeals and the Eleventh Circuit Court of
Appeals. His
clients have included national, state and local
financial institutions, multi-national corporations,
government agencies, community associations, health
care professionals, small businesses, and
individuals.
Admitted to practice in the United States
Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of
Appeals, and the United
States District Courts for
the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, Mr.
Schaaf also has extensive experience
as a Certified
Circuit and Federal Court Mediator.
Mr.
Schaaf is a director of the Largo/Mid-Pinellas
Chamber of Commerce, co-chairing the Small Business
Committee; is a trustee of Community Action Stops
Abuse, in St. Petersburg, Florida; serves on the
Florida Bar
Grievance Committee for the Sixth
Judicial Circuit of Florida; and has been active in
the Philippine-American
Chamber of Commerce, for
more than a year.
